Pomfret Derick Szero Proctor, 40, has been charged with manslaughter in connection to the fatal overdose of George Liddle, Jr. last December in Marbury, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials say that on Dec. 12, 2022, Liddle died from an overdose, and it was later determined that Proctor allegedly supplied him with the drugs that killed him.

Following the death investigation, a Grand Jury returned an indictment for Proctor for his role in Liddle's death, the Charles County Sheriff's Office announced on Monday afternoon.

In addition to manslaughter, Proctor was also charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond.

No information about his next court date has been released by the police. The incident remains under investigation.
